Welcome to Alpacas at Lone Ranch

We are full time alpaca ranchers located in Southern Oregon since 2002. Alpacas at Lone Ranch is conveniently located between Eagle Point and Shady Cove, 4.5 miles west on Oregon’s Scenic Byway 234 in the beautiful Upper Rogue Valley, close to historic Jacksonville, the cultural treasure of Ashland, and the unsurpassed beauty of Crater Lake.

Last year, for the first time, we did not rebreed our females. It rained on shearing day - May 6 - and the day before. Therefore, we cancelled shearing and the new date was June 18. We generally breed after shearing, but decided against it last year because we didn't want our females having to go through many hot summer days towards the end of their pregnancy. We are shearing May 19 this year.

Visitors are welcome most days, including holidays - as long as we are at the ranch. Please call first to avoid disappointment at the locked gate: 541-821-8071. During the hot summer, we give tours at 10 AM only. Starting in September, tours are available at 1:30 PM.
